All Skywatcher refractor telescopes come with a multi coated objective lens for maximum light transmission. Note: The objective lens is at the end of the telescope where the light enters the tube. The greater the size of the objective lens, the better the light gathering capability of the telescope. Refractor telescopes are excellent for lunar and planetary viewing as they offer very crisp and sharp images.
